Shock-absorbing capacity

To absorb the first shocks of walking, these compression hiking socks contain a soft, shock-absorbing footbed that provides cushioning. The polypropylene in the footbed adds an extra cooling effect, odour reduction and strong reinforcement. 

Prevents friction 

Your feet have to endure quite a lot during a long walk. That's why these compression hiking socks are reinforced where needed, such as at the ankles, achilles tendons, toes and heels. In addition, there is a 'lace reinforcement' on top of the sock so that the laces of your shoe do not cause irritation. The toe seam is deliberately woven flat so that you do not feel it when wearing the sock.

The NOMAD® Anti-Tick Coolmax Compression Hiking Sock Long has an anatomical fit for your left and right foot, so it fits snugly around your foot and provides support in all the right places. In addition, the instep of this sock is woven vertically - in the line of your foot - and contains elastic material. This ensures that the sock fits nicely around your foot. The sock's seamless fit around your foot prevents excess material in your shoe, which can fold and cause irritation or blisters. 

Innovative Coolmax® and REPEL MOSQUITO® techniques

These compression hiking socks contain the cooling Coolmax® yarn. Coolmax® is a collection of polyester fibres designed to help keep your feet dry, cool and comfortable. The fibres absorb moisture and carry it to the surface of the fabric where it quickly evaporates, leaving you unharmed and with dry feet. 

Walking through tall grass or over humid surfaces can be paired with the presence of ticks, mosquitoes and other insects - especially low to the ground. Through the REPEL MOSQUITO® treatment of these compression hiking socks, insects are naturally being repelled.
